Upside Down Kiss

The other day Chris went to eat a piece of leftover Christmas candy and discovered that there is a slacker at the Hershey's factory. The kiss he went to open was upside down. The paper came out the bottom flat end rather then the top pointed in.

Now how did that happen? Hhmm....

Anywone want more winter?

Anyone desiring a true winter experience can just hop on a plane (if you can land it without skidding off the runway) and come one over to Pullman. We have more then enough winter to go around this year! Here are some pictures to prove it:

As I've said before, I've had quite enough of winter so that Groundhog better be dead on this February or I'm catching the next flight to Pennsylvania....

Long Days of Winter

Never in my life have I experienced a winter quite like this one we have had in Pullman. I cannot believe how much snow we have had. Not that it has all come at once and we buried up to our noses but the length the snow sticks around is unbearable!

The first batch of after Christmas snow was pretty well melted off and then a week ago Monday when we were supposed to be having high wind warnings - snow came. Along with wind and even thunder and lightning.

Add to that the fact that the temperature was pretty much below freezing all week and it made for some pretty hectic driving. The highways felt like washboards because of the frozen grooves of the snowplows tires and parking lots were obstacle courses with the smallest piece of ice feeling like a huge speed bump to your car tires.

And now, another inch last night and a windy day today. Is the end in sigh yet? Sigh.... I hope so. I'm dreaming of tulips and sunbathing on the fresh green grass. There's only so much winter a soul can take!! I'm thankful I don't live in Alaska.

Only a few more days to wait until we hear about the job. For those who don't know, Chris applied for a job here with the university that would look great on his resume, has great pay and full benefits. It is with the program he works for now so that gave him a great chance to get it. He had his interview last Friday morning and there is one more person to interview this coming Tuesday so we should know by Wednesday. It's been extremely hard to wait since graduation but God has granted us peace about the situation. We would be very excited to stay in town and continue to develop relationships we have started this fall in our church and small group.

For now, we continue to mull away the long days of winter waiting for the day we can walk outside without wearing 5 layers...........but the snow does provide for pretty pictures which I will post soon (next time I have internet access). Until then keep warm.
