Weekend Recap

Chris and I had a great weekend this last one. We headed over to the Seattle area for a wedding with his family. It was such a beautiful weekend over there. We drove over Friday after work and the pass was great - hardly any snow at all.

We stayed with Chris' sister in Enumclaw. It was wonderful. They have 2 dogs so we brought our dog too and she loved having some new playmates - although they weren't as interested in playing as she was. And she sort of had a lapse on house-training forgetting she's supposed to go outside, even in strange houses. Oh well, they were good about it as their new dog has been having house-training issues too.

The wedding was very nice. We go to see some of Chris' family that we don't see very often: aunts, uncles, and cousins from Chris' dads side of the family. It was nice to catch up with everyone and enjoy a beautiful wedding.

Afterward we stopped in to see my cousin who lives close to where the wedding was at. We visited for awhile and watched her two boys do gymnastics in the living room. The youngest figured out how to climb up on the ottoman, pull himself to the other side, put his hands down, and then slide off - landing on his head. He thought it was extremely fun and did probably about 10 times in a row. But I didn't get any pictures...:(

Sunday morning we enjoyed the great sunshine and warm weather sitting outside for quite a while throwing the ball for the dogs and soaking up great sunshine! It was marvelous. We also stopped at the factory outlets in Northbend on the way home. They were having awesome sales!!! It was a bit crowded, being a Sunday, but Chris and I both got a great deal on shoes! 75% off!! We love shopping the sales.

What a fun weekend. And we're off again this week for the WSU vs UW baseketball game in Pullman. Go Cougs! Maybe someday we'll decide to stay home on a weekend... :)

Photo Editing

One of the things I'd like to eventually purchase is a good photo editing program for our Mac. But for right now, I am playing around with the features on I-Photo. Here are some fun ones from our ski trip in Mt. Baker. I never want to take away from the quality of the original photo, just make it better, but not over the top like some I've seen before.

What do you think?

Ski Trip

Well since we've been back for a week I thought it was time to blog about our ski trip to Mt. Baker! Photos will come later. It's already taking me long enough just to upload them to Facebook.

We had a wonderful time. The condo we stayed at (1/6 owned by Chris' aunt & uncle) was so awesome. It was right in the middle of the woods along the Nooksak River. It was so relaxing and beautiful.

Skiing was good too. Chris definitely got in more skiing then I did. Unfortunately there were not many green runs for me to try out so I spent a lot of time riding the rope tow up and skiing down the small practice hill. But since we had not been skiing in three years and this was only my fourth time it was OK.

In the evenings we enjoyed the fireplace in the condo and watched movies on our laptop and read and overall just relaxed and soaked our sore muscles in the hot tub!

It was a great time. I'm always nervous before I go skiing that I will not remember what to do but like Chris told me it's like riding a bike. You pick up on it again pretty fast. Hopefully we'll be able to go more in the coming winters so I can get even better.

Now we're getting back to the swing of things at work and getting ready for another weekend, yay! :) I love weekends.
