Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's Day was spent at church. We had a romantic candlelight dinner to raise money for sending a missions team to EA over spring break.

I had asked for the day off so I could be sure and help with the dinner so we got there around 3PM to start decorating. It turned out really nice - it looked like we were setting up for a wedding reception!

The dinner was delicious - we had yummy salad, homemade Italian wedding soup, rolls donated by a local restaurant, homemade lasagna, and finally cheesecake & strawberries! All that with sparkling cider too. Yummy!!

There was also live music and a silent auction. I couldn't believe how much was donated for the silent auction. They had everything from homemade pies, romance baskets filled with candles, candy, even wine, and a quilt too. Wow. The dinner was a huge success and it was a great way to spend Valentine's Day and raise money for a great cause.

Yay! I'm so glad you put up some pics. That was a lot of work - but totally worth it. And, I don't know if you heard or not, but between ticket sales and the silent auction there was about $4000 raised that night alone! How amazing is that?!? God is good and loves blessing us as a church, don't you think?
