Why Small Groups?

Our small group has started diving into this book together. It has created some great discussion amongst our group. Sometimes there are only 3 or 4 people that share but this book seems like it has drawn everyone out and we have heard a lot from people. I think that has been the best part.

The chapter we discussed this week was about real fellowship. The word fellowship has been sort of used loosely in a church setting. We mostly think about food and eating together or hanging out together. And that isn't bad - it's just that true fellowship is so much deeper then that.

True fellowship is sharing with one another our life and your walk with God. That means good and bad even though we usually stick to just good. It means learning about the truth of God's Word together and sharing how it's impacted you personally.

I know deep down we all crave that so much and it has been refreshing to see our small group members open up and be willing to share about tough stuff that has impacted them. I am excited to see where this book takes us in the coming weeks.

If you are interested you can find the book here.
