Happy Birthday Chris!

This is a couple of days late but we celebrated Chris' birthday last Friday. Our families came up and we ate a delicious dinner at PF Chang's. It was a little confusing as Chris' parents had never eaten there before and weren't sure about having to eat family style and share but we had a good meal.

Afterward, we went to see the Senske Landscaping Festival of Lights. Every year, they put thousands of Christmas lights on the trees around their property and time the lights to music. It's really fun to see the tress light up in time with the music. We just discovered it last year and had to share it with our families.

Finally, we ended the evening with homemade ice cream by Chris' request. We made cookie dough and cake batter courtesy of SnoWhite's recipes, found here. They turned out really well. I enjoyed the cookie dough since it was made with fresh egg free cookie dough so Chris and I enjoyed the leftovers of that as well!

Overall, it was a great birthday and we hope this upcoming year is just as great.

Yum! Sounds like a nice birthday. I love eggless cookie dough; it's the best! I didn't know you had an ice cream maker. :)
