A Request for Prayers

Today I am writing to ask you for prayer my fellow blogger friends. My aunt who lives in Portland needs your prayers. I ask you because she has been a faithful follower of my blog over the past few years and as a result she follows most of your blogs as well. :) She asks me about how you are doing and sometimes she reads your blog posts and tells me what's going on before I have a chance to - which is really sweet.

Pray for her today as she starts treatment for a condition called paraneoplastic deterioration where her body is producing anti-bodies to attack cancer tumors but is instead attacking her brain. The doctors finally discovered this after about a month of her losing her ability to walk and starting to have slurred speech. She is an ovarian cancer survivor but her body is confused and still trying to attack cancerous cells. Pray that this treatment would stop this deterioration from continuing and that through physical therapy she can walk and speak again.

Pray for her family - my two cousins both live in the Portland area so thankfully their families can be a support to one another and to my aunt. Pray for peace and comfort during the treatment and most of all that her body will respond well.
