A San Francisco Treat

We spent last weekend in San Francisco and Palo Alto, CA. We visited a good friend from college and squeezed one last long weekend trip in before Chris gets busy for the summer. We flew in on Thursday evening and our flight out of Pasco was delayed for about an hour and a half. So by the time we made in to San Francisco and rode BART (Bay-Area-Rapid-Transit) to our hotel it was after 11PM so we just went to bed. But Friday morning we woke up to beautiful sunshine and blue skies and that made all our traveling woes better. We set out to explore the city and were able to experience all of the sights and ride the cable cars which was a lot of fun.

Saturday we explored with our friend and two other friends who were in town as well. However, it rained ALL day! So we did a lot of driving but were able to drive across the Golden Gate and walk around Sausalito a bit - very expensive boutiques. We saw many other sights before we had to catch the train to Palo Alto. We spend Saturday & Sunday night with Chris' cousin and his wife. While there we explored Stanford University and drove by the Apple Headquarters which is a bit south. Monday we didn't have to catch the train to the airport until around 6 so we wandered around downtown Palo Alto while Chris' cousin was at work. There were many fun shops but we definitely wasted some time in coffee ships and were thankful for free Wi-Fi!

It was a great weekend and I'm so glad we got to experience San Francisco. It's a vibrant fun city!
