Minus One

I have been absent the past few weeks. I have still been faithfully reading your blogs but mostly on my phone during my lunch break at work and in the mornings before work. Since Memorial Day weekend we have been moving and settling into our new duplex. It's harder then you might think to move across the street! Memorial Day weekend friends came and helped us move most of our big furniture and boxes we had packed. Originally we were hoping to get it all moved Memorial Day weekend but then we found out that the new house wouldn't be ready yet. The landlord was waiting for a new refrigerator to be delivered and was finishing up various other small maintenance projects. So we couldn't move EVERYTHING over. Which makes it hard because you never know when you might need dishes, clothes, shoes, toiletries, etc. The refrigerator was finally delivered on Wednesday and so after that it was crunch time. Time to pack up our temporary living room and all of the necessities plus clean the old place, get everything out of the backyard, basement, and storage shed. All by the 1st of the month. Thankfully we knew that no one was moving into our place at the beginning of the month so we made it our goal to get everything out of the house itself and later that weekend got stuff out of the backyard and shed. And then after moving comes the unpacking! But having AC, new carpet, and a new refrigerator makes it a lot more bearable. Slowly we are getting things put away and organized. The kitchen, our bedroom and living room are done and now it's time to hang pictures and work on the office and guest bedroom. The dining room is a holding location for boxes that aren't unpacked yet so maybe one day soon we will eat at our table. In another week or so I hope to post pictures of the finished product!
