Friday night we went out to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place we went was Eleanor's cafe in Uniontown (about a half hour drive from Pullman). It's a saloon basically but a really popular one with great burgers and homemade potato chips! We had a really good time although we had to wait a little over an hour for our dinner as their kitchen is to teeny tiny I think they only have room on their grill for about 2 burgers at a time!
Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life - in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. - Phillipians 2:14-16

Fall Fun!
This past weekend was a great fall weekend in Pullman. Chris and I had a busy week last week (which was actually nice) and also a fun weekend. We got a lot of resting and activities in.

Saturday we carved pumpkins as an activity for our apartment complex. Since it's family housing - they host an activity each month. We worked hard on our pumpkins and had a good time. It was so interesting to see all the different families we live with - people from every background I think. I felt like Chris and I were the only ones who were actually originally from America. We didn't get to have much conversation with anyone but it is fun now to recognize others in our complex as we see each other each day.
Sunday we skipped church and slept in.........but it was so good for us. We were both pretty tired and needed the extra rest. That night we were invited to a small group which has been a prayer of ours recently - to find one with couples and get involved. It is a fun group with another couple our age and then about 4 other couples all of different age groups and churches in Pullman. What a HUGE blessing. We really had a fun time and are excited to go back next Sunday.
