Weekend Update

Wow - what a great weekend we had. The weather was beautiful and Chris had another Sunday off (now they just need to work on those Saturdays)!

Saturday after church we had fun getting frozen yogurt and ice cream with some friends. There is a fun shop near our house called Sweet Treats and amazingly enough it is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. One of the only places in the Tri-Cities to be open past 9 or 10 o'clock! The night was beautiful so we decided to sit outside and chat. At one point the owner came out and talked to us for about half and hour. She is a really animated Korean lady and was talking about her family, how she started the shop, and why she wanted to stay open late because no one else was. Then she gave us fudge! It was great. She offered it to us because it was almost to the expiration date so she couldn't sell it in the shop. It was a delicious treat.

Sunday was our productive day. We got busy putting away our winter clothes and moving the summer clothes into the closet and dresser. In the process we threw away one garbage bag of old clothes and shoes and filled another one with clothes to donate. Now we have our summer clothes at the ready with room in the closet for some new purchases perhaps. :)

We also got a new-to-us entertainment center set-up. We purchased it from my manager at work and we think it looks great in our space. It has one long piece for the TV with shelves and drawers and then two large separate towers. I really like that we have one cohesive piece now instead of a mishmash of furniture and this piece is also the perfect size for our living room wall.

Our friend also invited us to try out Indian food for lunch so we ventured to the Indian Palace for their lunch buffet. It wasn't our favorite food but it was fun to try new things and we both LOVED the naan bread. :) We also got invited over to another friends house for dinner which was a perfect ending to the weekend just getting to hang out and fellowship with good friends.

AAhhhh, weekends and summertime. The perfect combination.

Pictures of your new set-up!

I LOVE Indian food! The sweet-spicy curry is so good, especially with lamb. The naan is one of my favorites too. :)

I think I might have liked it more if I had known what I was eating. They needed descriptions for the buffet. Next time I think I'd rather order off the menu. And they didn't have any lamb which I do like.
